Patient & Visitor Security
Our commitment to patient safety, and the safety of our patients' family and visitors is second only to our commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare. We have uniformed security guards on duty at Medical Center Hospital at all times. The Security Office can be contacted through the switchboard operator by dialing "0" or by calling (432) 640-2239.
Throughout the hospital, there are areas designated for "Authorized Personnel Only." Please observe these restricted areas for your own safety and the safety of our patients.
Most exits from the hospital are locked and alarmed at night for your security. Please observe the signs on these marked doors and leave from main exits only. When leaving the hospital, if you would like a Security escort to your vehicle, please have any MCH employee contact the Security Office for you.
In order to increase safety and security for our patients, visitors, staff and hospital assets, Medical Center Hospital will limit access to the building during selected hours. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., the front entrance revolving door and all other entrances will be locked. Patients and visitors must enter through the Emergency Department at 5th and Washington.
Parking is available in a multi level parking garage directly across the street from the emergency entrance.
For your convenience and safety, Medical Center Hospital provides valet parking at no cost from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday. The valet service is located at the Admitting entrance in the main hospital building and at the Wheatley Stewart Medical Pavilion. Please fell free to use the MCH valet service.
